For the 4th International Naval Architecture and Maritime (INT-NAM 2023) Symposium, which took place in Istanbul on 11 – 13 October 2023, the organising committee set the theme as ‘Sustainable Innovations & Nature-based Solutions’ to support the climate change mitigation and reversal of environmental degradation and biodiversity loss.
In recognition of the contribution of the GATERS project within this theme, the organising committee invited Prof. Mehmet Atlar and Prof. Noriyuki Sasaki from the University of Strathclyde to give keynote presentations on the project’s contribution. Prof. Atlar’s presentation was entitled: “H2020 GATERS Project – The uncompromising energy efficiency solution for ships and marine environment” and Prof. Sasaki’s presentation was entitled “H2020 GATERS Project – How we can explain 35-55% energy saving obtained from the target ship ERGE”.
